BillionBricks wins accolades at the 6th Holcim Awards 2021

We are thrilled to announce that BillionBricks won two awards across the Global and regional categories at the 6th International Holcim Awards for Sustainable Construction last year.

The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on 13 November 2021, at the International Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy. Watch the full prize ceremony here.

Our BillionBricks net-zero home was presented the Commendation prize in the Holcim Global Awards and Acknowledgement prize in the Holcim regional Awards (Asia Pacific region) including USD 20,000 in prize money.

Our project was lauded for its ability to fully and creatively bring together different stakeholders to address two urgent societal issues: homelessness and access to renewable energy sources. Out of 4,742 entries, BillionBricks was 2 of 33 winners of the Global and regional Holcim Awards.

It showcases the cutting edge of approaches to sustainable design, green architecture, and materials innovation. The Awards offer a total of USD 2 million in prize money.
